Brimer with a large delivery to Artec Aqua AS
Brimer is awarded another major contract and will deliver fish tanks, center pots, aerators and ozone tanks to Artec Aqua. Artec Aqua AS is the turnkey contractor for the project for Eide Smolt AS. The former Lerøy facility was taken over by Eide Smolt in 2022, and now almost the entire facility will be rebuilt with modern fish tanks, new process technology and a new technical building.
The deliveries include six outdoor fish tanks, with a diameter of 12 meters and a total volume of 2580 m³, center pots, aerators and ozone tanks. Brimer is the country's largest manufacturer of composite structures in several segments. Products for the aquaculture industry have been a high priority at Brimer for a long time. In recent years, it has been seen that composite products in a non-corrosive material, which is lightweight, strong and highly modular, have been used in more and more projects. This is in order to create high-quality hygienic solutions that contribute to economically viable solutions.
Eide Smolt has two previous smolt facilities and this will be the third. The smolts that will be allowed to swim in Brimerkar do not yet know how big they will be before they go into the sea. "We'll have to find out what size the smolt will be when we put them in the sea," says Hans Martin Eide from Eide Fjordbruk. The facility has a permit to produce 2 million smolts, but neither area nor water access limits the possibilities for increased production," continues Eide.

Planned course of production: The project is planned to be completed in 9 months, so the project will be carried out efficiently with close cooperation between the parties involved. Production at our factory on Kvamsøya is already well underway, and we are ready to start assembly at the plant this summer.
