Brimer and Mekon secure safety of silage for Nova Sea
Brimer, a leading provider of storage solutions, is proud to announce a new contract with Mekon AS to deliver an advanced silage tank system to Nova Sea AS's new slaughterhouse on the island of Lovund on the Helgeland coast.
"We are proud that Mekon has once again chosen us as a supplier of corrosion-free storage solutions in composite materials," says Sales Manager Helge Kvamme. "It's very nice that Brimer 's sustainable solutions are also chosen in this project at Lovund." Kvamme concludes.
Ivar Sandneseng, General Manager of Mekon, says that "We have collaborated with Brimer in other previous projects. It was therefore natural for us to collaborate with Brimer in this project as well. Durable and robust solutions that protect in all kinds of weather are crucial for us and Nova Sea. This, combined with close and good dialogue in the sales phase to develop the ideal solution for the project, has been decisive for us to award the contract to Brimer."
A specially designed tank facility: Brimer's tank farm for Nova Sea is tailored to meet the specific requirements of silage handling. The facility consists of a total of 11 tanks with a total tank volume of 3500m3. These are tanks that support different needs in the ensiling process. Everything from tanks for storage of finished silage to various process tanks in the ensiling process itself; tanks for preservatives, cooling water, storage of various by-products, wastewater, etc.
Ensures silage quality: Brimer's tank facilities are designed to optimize storage conditions for silage, ensuring that it retains its nutritional value and quality over time. This helps reduce waste and optimize feed costs for Nova Sea.
Sustainable food production: Brimer understands the critical role salmon farming plays in feeding a growing population. Our solutions support sustainable food production by reducing waste, optimizing resource use and ensuring efficient silage handling.
Long-term customer relationship: Brimer has a long-term and successful collaboration with Mekon AS. This is the second tank farm Brimer delivers to Mekon for Nova Sea, confirming both companies' commitment to delivering reliable, efficient and innovative solutions.
"Brimer 's core business is based on long-term protection of resources and infrastructure based on sustainability and technology. That's why it's particularly gratifying to be chosen as a supplier in a project where the entire fish is taken care of and used as a protein-rich resource. In addition, it is extra nice for us to once again come out to Lovund with our products, whether it's for Nova Sea's facility or to ensure safe and secure storage of drinking water for the island. It's impressive what they can do out there," concludes Håvard Haanes, CEO of Brimer.
