Alexander Eidem has been a driving force in Brimer's development since 2017. With a background as a business economist from Farstad Shipping, he saw the potential in Brimer's ambitious growth plans. Today, as CFO fi Brimer , he is more enthusiastic than ever about the company's future.
"When I started in Brimer ", I was excited about everything from the big lines to the smallest details," Alexander says with a smile. "We were known for septic tanks on Kvamsøya, and wanted to continue. That got me going. I was excited by the potential in the aquaculture industry and other exciting areas, where we can protect important assets and infrastructure."
Over a cup of coffee, Alexander shares how he works in many areas at once. He juggles financing, currency, reporting to the board and shareholders, while also being deeply involved in strategy and development. “My role has become broader and closer to the business as we have grown. There is always something new and exciting going on,” he says.
Growing in growing markets
Brimer has undergone impressive changes while Alexanders has been here. From being a local player in a few limited business areas, the company has now positioned itself strongly in several growing markets.
"We need to be in markets that are growing in themselves. Now we are even clearer on our focus areas: farming, fish processing and industry, circular economy, water and wastewater, and energy. We are well positioned in each of these niches."
Growth has come both organically and through strategic acquisitions. This has not only expanded Brimer's portfolio, but also added valuable expertise and technology. Alexander is particularly proud of the company's greater foray into international markets.

The working environment in Brimer is something Alexander values highly. Despite the fact that the company is now spread across several workplaces, they have succeeded in maintaining a strong sense of community. “We have a good tone and good cooperation across departments and locations. We encourage travel, meetings and gatherings. It has been crucial in building a strong community,” he says.
