Suction Anchor

Suction Anchor

Our suction caissons in GRP provide a lightweight, cost-effective solution for supporting offshore structures on the seabed.

Our patented composite suction caissons can support large structures for the oil and gas industry on the seabed and serve as mooring anchors for offshore windmills and fish farming cages.

You can save 40% in weight by replacing a traditional steel structure with a composite one. The reduced weight of GRP makes it possible to use smaller vessels for the installation, which significantly reduces installation costs. The steel top makes it possible to replace a steel suction anchor with GRP without changing the structure to be founded on the seabed.

GRP is corrosion-free and our anchoring is reusable. A multifunctional installation frame (patent pending) has been developed to minimize installation costs.

The suction anchor is patented by Compocean, which is now part of Brimer, and the demo has been successfully installed at a depth of 75 meters.
