Granli VBA - Company M1 machine / process
Brimer had process responsibility for this turnkey contract. The delivery included complete process equipment for water treatment. The plant will produce drinking water for approximately 18,000 people in Kongsvinger and Grue. It is prepared to ensure supply to 2-3 more neighboring municipalities. The process consists of aeration of water with precipitation in a raw water pool, UV and dosing of water glass. The raw water source is a well park of five wells. It is prepared to expand to 8. The water had high levels of iron and manganese, which posed a challenge. The procurement concerned purification equipment, pipework and support for automation. The pipe arrangement is in dimensions from DN200 to DN500. The plant has a net production capacity of 950 m3/h and has two raw water pools of 1500 m3. They are also used for precipitation before UV. The project includes a pressure boosting pump station with 5 pumps (piping and foundations are prepared to increase to 7). Total capacity is now 950 m3/h against 125 mVs. There were also two DN400 pressure lines.
